Sweet Rose Waxing Co. – FAQ’s

We want you to feel comfortable, confident, and prepared for your visit. Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

  • Before Your Appointment

Q: How should I prepare for my wax?
A: Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before your appointment, avoid lotions or oils the day of, and let your hair grow at least ¼ inch (about the length of a grain of rice) for best results.

Q: Can I wax while on my period?
A: Yes! Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup before your service. You may be a little more sensitive than usual, but it’s totally fine to wax during that time.

Q: Should I take pain medicine before my appointment?
A: You can if you’d like. A mild pain reliever such as ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your service can help. Just skip alcohol and caffeine — they make your skin more sensitive.

  • During Your Visit

    Q: What’s included in a Brazilian wax?
A: A full Brazilian includes the front, labia, and between the cheeks. You can choose to leave a strip, triangle, or go completely bare — whatever makes you most comfortable.

Q: Do you double dip your wax sticks?
A: Never! We follow strict hygiene standards to keep every service clean and safe. Each client has their own wax cup and set of sticks — no sharing or reusing. I only use extra sticks when it’s necessary for your service, but hygiene always comes first.

Q: How long does a wax take?
A: Most Brazilian or full-face services take about 10–20 minutes, depending on your hair type and density. Every service is based on you — I move at your comfort level, not the clock.

  • Aftercare & Maintenance

Q: What should I do after my wax?
A: For the first 24 hours, avoid heat, tight clothes, workouts, and intimacy. Keep the area clean and cool, and use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe gel to soothe your skin. After a few days, start exfoliating 2–3 times a week to help prevent ingrown hairs and keep your skin smooth.

Q: How often should I get waxed?
A: Every 4–6 weeks is perfect for smooth, consistent results. Staying on schedule helps your hair grow back softer and finer over time.

Q: What helps prevent ingrown hairs?
A: Regular exfoliating and moisturizing make a big difference. Use a gentle scrub a few times a week and keep your skin hydrated daily. Avoid picking or squeezing — consistency is everything!

  • Policies & Booking

Q: Do I need a deposit to book?
A: Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your appointment and is applied toward your total service cost.

    Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: To avoid losing your deposit, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows or last-minute changes will forfeit deposits and may affect future booking privileges.

Q: What if my provider changes?
A: If your provider isn’t available, you’ll be reassigned to another licensed professional. Deposits remain valid and can always be used as store credit if needed.

  • Memberships & Packages

    Q: How do memberships work?
A: Members enjoy monthly services at a discounted rate — plus exclusive perks and savings. Payments are automatic each month, so all you have to do is show up and glow!

Q: Can I cancel my membership?
A: Yes, after your first 3 months. Just give us at least 7 days’ notice before your next billing date.

    Q: What if I miss a month?
A: You can roll over one unused credit or apply it as store credit toward another service — just let us know before your next cycle.

  • General Questions

Q: Is waxing safe for sensitive skin?
A: Absolutely. We specialize in gentle waxing for all skin types and use high-quality wax designed for sensitive areas.

Q: Do you wax men too?
A: Yes! We offer men’s grooming services, including chest, back, brows, and Brazilian.

Q: What’s the difference between hard wax and soft wax?
A: Hard wax (which we use most) sticks to hair, not skin, so it’s gentler — perfect for sensitive areas like the bikini line, underarms, and face.

  • Location

Q: Where are you located now?

A: We’re now in the College Park / Sangaree area of Summerville, right near the Goose Creek line.
    Our address is:
1331 College Park Rd, Ste B Summerville, SC 29486

There’s plenty of parking and easy access, no downtown traffic.

Q: Can I bring someone with me or my child?

A: Our new space is much smaller, so I’m no longer able to accommodate children the way I used to. You may bring your child only if they can sit in a seat the entire time and you’re able to watch them yourself.

There’s no extra room for little ones to move around, and no one on staff can supervise them for safety reasons.

Thank you for understanding and helping keep the space calm and safe.
